About Dolgellau Angling Association

Dolgellau Angling Association has 13 miles of sea trout and salmon fishing on the rivers Mawddach and Wnion, in the southern Snowdonia National Park area, and Llyn Cynwch, an upland lake that it stocks with rainbow and brown trout. The Wnion is the largest tributary of the Mawddach and runs down through the town of Dolgellau to the Junction Pool, where it meets the Mawddach at the tidal point. The association says sea trout are the main quarry, with a number of salmon and wild brown trout as well.
