About Ogmore Angling Association

Ogmore Angling Association was formed in 1891 and controls around 14 miles of water on the River Ogmore (Ogwr) and the rivers that feed it, from the streams in the hills down to the main river and the estuary, where the lowest beats hold bass, mullet and flounder. Its members and visitors fish for salmon, sea trout (sewin), grayling and brown trout, and the Ewenny, which the club says is unstocked, is the wild trout and grayling water. All fishing on the club’s water is catch and release for every species, with barbless hooks.
