About River Ewenny, Keepers Lodge Bridge to Waterton
This is the club’s Ewenny water from Keepers Lodge Bridge to Bont Fawr at Waterton, as its Map 6 shows it, where the river runs beside the industrial estates on the edge of Bridgend. The club marks the water downstream of the A48 as private and out of bounds, and the green club water starts at the A48 bridge. The Ewenny is the club’s unstocked river, with wild brown trout and grayling.
It is fly fishing only, with wading allowed from 16 June to 30 September. Non-members can fish it in the summer on a day or week ticket at £20 and £65, with a Natural Resources Wales rod licence. Adult members with the winter grayling permit can fish for grayling from 1 October to 14 March, by fly in daylight. The position shown is approximate, and the club’s maps mark any private banks that are out of bounds.
