About Ogwr Fach, Blackmill
This is the Ogwr Fach at Blackmill, the river that meets the Ogwr Fawr there to form the Ogmore. The club’s Map 5 shows both banks as club water from the junction at Blackmill, running east alongside Graig Terrace and the A4093. The map does not show where the club’s water ends upstream, so this listing describes only the length it draws.
The fishing is for brown trout, grayling, sewin and salmon, and every fish is returned. Non-members can fish it on a day or week ticket at £20 and £65, with a Natural Resources Wales rod licence. The position shown is approximate, and the club’s maps mark any private banks that are out of bounds.

A Natural Resources Wales rod licence is needed, and a Salmon and Migratory Trout licence for night fishing. All fishing is catch and release for every species: fish are returned dead or alive. Barbless hooks only, one rod and line, a landing net must be carried, no dogs, and any fish caught out of season goes back without delay. Trout season is 3 March to 30 September. Summer grayling fishing is from 16 June to 30 September. Fly fishing, spinning and natural bait are allowed from the start of the season, with no worm for salmon, worm for sea trout from 15 April to 30 September, shrimp and prawn for salmon only in September, and no maggots or Powerbait. Ground baiting and bread are allowed only below the Ogmore and Ewenny confluence. Pictures of fish are taken with the fish and net in the water. Day and week ticket holders keep to the same byelaws.
