About Peper Harow Park Fly Fishers
Peper Harow Park Fly Fishers is a fly only club founded in 1947, based on the Oxenford Farm property near Elstead on the B3001, about five miles from Guildford. It has about one and a quarter miles of mainly double bank fishing on the River Wey through the Peper Harow Park estate, which it runs as a wild trout catch and release fishery, and two lakes stocked with rainbow trout. The lakes were originally the carp ponds of the Cistercian monks who founded Waverley Abbey in 1128. Members can also fish for grayling on the river in winter.
Total membership is limited to fifty five, not counting junior members. The club does not publish a waiting list or a joining process on its website, only that anyone interested in joining should contact the Hon Secretary through the contact page. Members may bring one guest a week. The club takes part in the Riverfly Partnership and works with the Environment Agency and the Wild Trout Trust on the river.
