About Tregaron Angling Association
Tregaron Angling Association owns and manages wild brown trout fishing in the headwaters of the River Teifi, around Tregaron in Ceredigion. The club was formed in 1916 and says its fishing has always been open to visiting anglers, who have been coming to this little known part of Wales for almost a century.
Its waters are 17 miles of the Teifi, including some late run salmon fishing, 7 miles of remote wilderness fishing on the River Camddwr in the Cambrian Mountains, Llyn Berwyn, a restored and lightly stocked mountain lake in the forestry, and the three lakes of the Teifi Pools, none of which are stocked. The club’s rules allow game fishing only.
Tickets are sold online through Clubmate. The club’s ticket page lists daily, weekly and full season tickets for adults, seniors aged 65 and over and juniors aged 12 to 18, and fishing is free for under 12s; it does not say which waters each ticket covers, so check when you book. New members are welcome and can write to the committee. All fish under 23cm must be returned, no more than four brown trout may be taken in a day and no more than two of those from the river, and all salmon must be returned.
