About River Claerwen, below the dam
Two miles of the River Claerwen, from Claerwen Dam down to the road bridge above Dolymynach Reservoir. The river holds wild brown trout only and the association does not restock it. Welsh Water, which owns the estate, says there are no permits for Dolymynach Reservoir itself.
The position shown is approximate. It is fished on the association’s river permit, £15 a day or £40 for a season in 2026. The association sells the Claerwen Reservoir above the dam on a separate permit, listed as its own water.
