About River Elan, below Elan Village

This is about two miles of the River Elan below Elan Village, running alongside the B4518 west of Rhayader until the Elan joins the Wye about a mile and a half south of the town. The association says the Elan gives a good chance of pike, grayling and brown trout, and that because the Elan Valley dams regulate its level, it is a good alternative when the Wye is too high to fish.
