About River Ceirw, Dinmael
The Ceirw is a tributary of the Alwen and, the club says, an excellent brown trout stream. Members come with lighter tackle and Tenkara outfits and catch a good number of fish. It is a spate river that can be very good for salmon late in the season, and it is often fished when conditions on the main river are poor. The beat has several good pools and is a mixture of single and double bank fishing.
A small worm may be fished trotted or ledgered, and brown trout may be spun for, within the club’s tackle limits. There is no night fishing. The club’s parking area is before the river bridge at Dinmael. This water is for members. The club’s 2026 rate for a new adult salmon member is £160 and for trout and grayling £100, each with a £70 joining fee. The position shown is approximate.
