About Lower Crai

Lower Crai is a mile of double bank on the River Crai, which the Passport calls one of the Usk’s most productive tributaries. The fishing has been extended and split into two one mile beats, and the Lower Crai adjoins the upper beat at its upstream limit at Ty Gwyn Bridge. The summer flows are topped up by releases from Crai reservoir and wading is easy. The Passport suggests a rod of 6 to 7 feet rated 2 to 3 weight.
