About Rib Valley Fishing Lakes, Millennium Lake
The Millennium Lake at Rib Valley Fishing Lakes is the fishery’s fly water, a five acre lake with depths of up to 14 feet. It can take up to 30 rods and is stocked with at least 600 rainbow trout, mainly around 2lb, with some larger fish up to 6lb when available.
A fly ticket is £30 and includes 1 fish killed, with extra fish killed at £12 each. There is no spinning on the lake. Fly fishing is usually suspended at the start of the summer because the water is too warm for trout, and from mid May to the end of September the lake is open to any method of fishing. The fly season restarts in the autumn depending on the weather, so check the fishery’s news page before you travel.
Tickets are booked online or paid for bankside with the bailiff. The fishery has a tackle shop, a cafe and toilets, and the lake is on Westmill Farm beside the River Rib.
