About Birtley Lake
Birtley Lake is a trout lake in the parkland of the Birtley Estate at Bramley, five miles south of Guildford on the A281. It is a horseshoe shaped lake with 500 yards of bank, stocked mainly with brown trout and some rainbows. The fishing season runs from 1 April to 31 October.
The estate sells day tickets, half day tickets, season rods and half season rods, with day tickets fished between 8am and 8pm and half days from 8am to 2pm or 2pm to 8pm. Payment for day tickets is made in advance through the estate’s website, by phone or by email, and a copy of your rod licence is needed on your first day. There are toilet facilities at the lake.
