About Otby Lake
Otby Lake is a six acre stream fed trout lake on the Lincolnshire Wolds at Otby House Farm, Walesby, near Market Rasen and Caistor. It belongs to Otby Farms, which describes it as a traditional fly fishery for rainbow and brown trout, welcoming all abilities, with bank fishing and a small boat that can be hired.
Fishing is fly only with barbless hooks. Visitors pre book through the farm’s Go Catch page, and the farm says season tickets are available by enquiry. Boat House guests have the lake to themselves from 6pm, so day anglers leave then unless the board in the fishermen’s hut says otherwise. Equipment is not provided, and anglers need a rod licence.
