All the river fishing is strictly catch and release, with a maximum of ten fish a day and barbless hooks or barbs pinched down, keeping the wild stock in good order. Expect Brown Trout, Grayling, with a reliable grannom hatch across every beat every April. Fishing is lightly keepered throughout.
Lawrences Farm also offers bed and breakfast, with a reduced rate for residents fishing the river beats. For anglers who want the whole season, the syndicate runs from 1 April to 15 October and costs £755 inc VAT for 2026, its 19th season; it covers seven beats on the River Frome, six on the Piddle and one on the tiny River Hooke, plus some syndicate-only beats besides, with some winter grayling fishing included.
