About River Aeron, Aberaeron
This is Aberaeron Town Angling Club’s water on the lower River Aeron: about 2 miles of mostly double bank fishing from the tidal limit inland, running through Aberaeron town. The club offers sewin, salmon and brown trout fishing here, and says the river is easy to reach along its whole length. It publishes an interactive beat map showing the beats, parking and boundaries.
River day permits are sold on the club’s website from 1 April to 17 October. The club’s 2026 price is £20 a day with no concessions, and a day permit holder may fish all club waters. Worm is allowed for sewin from 1 May to 7 October, all salmon and all sewin caught before 1 May must be returned, and there is a daily limit of four migratory fish, two taken and two released. In the town pools below the second road bridge only centrepin or fly reels may be used. The position shown is approximate.
