About Vale End Lakes
Vale End has four acres of landscaped stillwater and stream fishing at the foot of Belmont Wood, made up of Belmont Lake and Mill Lake. The lakes are fed by the River Tillingbourne, and the estate describes an abundance of natural fly life, especially olives, buzzers and sedge and a very healthy mayfly hatch, which makes it a good dry fly water. Alder and crack willow give shade and cover.
Both lakes are stocked with rainbow, brown and spartic trout. The estate also stocks the river beats that run the length of the fishery with rainbow and brown trout during their season, April to September.
A day membership is £17 and each fish uses one fish token, so a day with two tokens is £45. Season membership is £240 for 2026/27. There is no catch and release on the lakes. The entrance is on the south side of the A248 close to the Albury village sign, and the lakes are 250 m from the road.
