About Llyn Cefni
Cefni Reservoir is in the centre of the island of Anglesey in North Wales, over 86 hectares of water. The Passport describes fly fishing for hard fighting wild brown trout and high quality stocked rainbows, with a private car park, a fishing hut and toilet facilities.
It is fly fishing only, with one rod per angler. The daily bag limit is 6 fish per angler and no more than 3 of them may be brown trout; after six fish have been caught and kept, the angler must stop fishing. The Passport sells bank tickets and boat tickets on two separate pages. Anglers under 18 fishing from a boat must be accompanied by an adult, and dogs are allowed on the bank if kept under control but not in boats.
The reservoir is run by Cefni Angling Association. Its club rules are issued with booking and the Passport recommends reading them before you buy a ticket. The club asks for a phone number with each booking. It is booked through the Fishing Passport.

Day tickets
Bank fishing is booked on the Passport’s Cefni Reservoir bank page. Boat fishing is a separate ticket on the Passport’s Cefni Reservoir boat page (https://www.fishingpassport.co.uk/fishing/reservoirs/cefni-reservoir-boat-fishingtickets). Neither page printed a ticket price on 2 November 2026, so there are no price rows. Booked through the Fishing Passport.
