About Llyn Corsiog
Llyn Corsiog covers 7 acres at about 1,720 feet, an hour and a half’s walk from Tan y Grisiau. The association calls it an excellent early season lake, until the weed grows in mid summer and makes most of it unfishable. It can still be fished then, by changing to floating lines and dry flies and casting over the weed into clear patches. It fishes well with spinner or fly.
The association’s permit is needed and its prices are on its permits page. The lake season runs from 20 March to 17 October. The position shown is approximate.

Day, week and season permits are sold at Siop Antur Stiniog, Brethyn Blaenau and the Eurospar Post Office in Blaenau Ffestiniog and at Siop Dewi in Penrhyndeudraeth, and can be ordered online from the permits page. Adult and junior prices are on that page.

Fishing rules for Llyn Corsiog
A permit from the association and a Natural Resources Wales rod licence are needed, and the permit must be carried at all times when fishing. Any legal method is allowed with a single rod and reel, including float tube fishing, at the angler’s own risk. No dogs. The season runs from 20 March to 17 October.
