About Llyn Cowlyd
Llyn Cowlyd is an unstocked Welsh Water reservoir in the hills above Dolgarrog, where Welsh Water lists trout fishing by spinning, worm or fly. Its terms allow all legal coarse methods apart from live baiting, with treble hooks only for spinning, and one rod and line.
A day ticket for 2026 is £17.50 and a season ticket £70, with up to two fish to be kept. Permits are sold from the Llyn Brenig visitor centre or online. Ground bait, swim feeders, sweetcorn and maggots are not allowed, and every angler hands in a catch return after each visit. The position shown is approximate.
