About Llyn Craigypistyll
Llyn Craigypistyll is the place to go for natural brown trout. Like Llyn Syfydrin, the fish are generally small but beautifully marked. The lake is around 200m above sea level with around a mile and a half of bank, and it is only lightly fished because it is hard to reach.
A rough forestry track leads to a small parking and turning place, and then there is a 500 yard walk to the nearest bank. Fly fishing, spinning and earthworm fishing are allowed. Brown trout must be returned. A day ticket here is valid for all other Aberystwyth Angling Association waters on that date. It is booked through the Fishing Passport.
