About Llyn Llagi
Llyn Llagi covers about 8 acres at about 1,238 feet, a walk of some two and a half hours from Tan y Grisiau. The association says it is a good hike but worth the effort, with wild brown trout of ¾lb regularly caught, most likely in the parts of the lake below the steep cliffs. It fishes well with fly or spinner.
The association’s permit is needed and its prices are on its permits page. The lake season runs from 20 March to 17 October. The position shown is approximate.

Day, week and season permits are sold at Siop Antur Stiniog, Brethyn Blaenau and the Eurospar Post Office in Blaenau Ffestiniog and at Siop Dewi in Penrhyndeudraeth, and can be ordered online from the permits page. Adult and junior prices are on that page.

Fishing rules for Llyn Llagi
A permit from the association and a Natural Resources Wales rod licence are needed, and the permit must be carried at all times when fishing. Any legal method is allowed with a single rod and reel, including float tube fishing, at the angler’s own risk. No dogs. The season runs from 20 March to 17 October.
