About Llyn Llygad Rheidol
Llyn Llygad Rheidol is Aberystwyth Angling Association’s highest lake, at 500m, and its most remote. The nearest tarmac road is two miles away, though there is a track that a 4x4 could manage. There is quite a lot of weed in the middle part of the season. The Passport calls it a truly wild, remote place, and the fish are wild.
Fly fishing and spinning are allowed under the club’s 2026 rules. Brown trout must be returned. A day ticket here is valid for all other Aberystwyth Angling Association waters on that date. It is booked through the Fishing Passport.
