About Llyn Morynion
Llyn Morynion covers about 30 acres at about 1,300 feet on the Migneint, 15 minutes’ walk from the lay-by on the B4391 to Bala, above the Cynfal waterfalls. It is the Ffestiniog district’s main water supply. The association says it holds a good head of natural brown trout, stocked twice a year, that average between ½lb and ¾lb, with some triploid rainbow trout of 1 to 4lb introduced in 2004. Dark flies work best in April and May, and June to August are evening and night fishing months. Wading is safe in most places, float tubing is allowed at your own risk, and spinning and bait fishing are also allowed.
The association’s permit is needed and its prices are on its permits page. The lake season runs from 3 March to 30 September. The position shown is approximate.
