About Twrch - Beat 1

Twrch Beat 1 is about ¾ of a mile of double bank on the Twrch, the main tributary of the Tawe. The Passport describes a good head of fish, supplemented by periodical stocking, and a river with a healthy fly life and upwing hatches that are at times prolific. The best of the fishing is in the afternoon in March, April and May, with March Brown and Large Dark Olive hatches; in summer it is in the evening, when the Blue Winged Olive is the main hatch.
