About Twrch - Beat 2
Twrch Beat 2 is about half a mile of double bank on the Twrch, the main tributary of the Tawe. The Passport says the river has a healthy fly life with upwing hatches that are at times prolific. The best of the fishing is in the afternoon in March, April and May, with March Brown and Large Dark Olive hatches; in summer it is in the evening, when the Blue Winged Olive is the main hatch.
The beat offers challenging but rewarding fishing for the more accomplished angler. This is club water, so exclusivity cannot be guaranteed. It is fly fishing only, all species are catch and release, and dogs are not allowed. No night fishing or overnight camping. It is booked through the Fishing Passport.
