About Wal Goch Fishing
The lake at Wal Goch Fishing covers just over two acres of spring fed water on Wal Goch Farm, near Nannerch. It is typically about 6 feet deep, shallower in the north west corner and deeper at the south east end towards the dam. The fishery stocks rainbow trout from 1.5lb up to double figures, and the lake is also stocked with brown trout.
Fishing is fly only, from the bank, and wading is not allowed. Hooks must be barbless or de-barbed. Tickets run for up to 8 hours and are priced by the number of fish you want to take: £35 for 3 fish, £30 for 2 fish and £25 for 1 fish. A sport ticket at £20 is for fishing without taking any fish. There is a maximum of one rod per permit, and junior tickets are available on request.
There is parking within 50 metres of the water.
