About Wal Goch Fishing

Wal Goch Fishing is a small trout fishery on Wal Goch Farm at Nannerch in Flintshire. The lake covers just over two acres in a quiet valley, and the fishery describes the water as spring fed and clear. It is stocked regularly with rainbow trout from 1.5lb up to double figures, and the lake is also stocked with brown trout. The lake has been there since 1920, when the original dam burst, and the dam can still be seen.

Wal Goch Fishing FAQs

Common questions about Wal Goch Fishing and its beats, answered in one place.

01What are the opening hours for Wal Goch Fishing?

You'll be shown to your beat, given any local rules specific to that stretch, and told about parking, facilities, and the finish time. Carry your EA rod licence and booking confirmation at all times.
07 Is club water available, or is it day ticket only?
Wal Goch Fishing does not currently list club water arrangements. It operates on a day ticket basis — check the page or contact the fishery for current options.
