About the River Afon Llugwy

The Afon Llugwy is a tributary of the River Conwy in Snowdonia. It rises at Ffynnon Llugwy, a lake in the Carneddau range, and largely follows the route of the A5, first through the village of Capel Curig and then over the Swallow Falls, a popular tourist attraction. In Betws-y-Coed it passes under the wooden Minerโ€™s Bridge and then under Pont-y-Pair before it joins the Conwy at the northern end of the golf course.
