About Afan Valley Angling and Conservation Club

Afan Valley Angling and Conservation Club was founded in 1951 and offers a mix of wild brown trout, sea trout (sewin) and salmon fishing on the River Afan, a small spate river, with beats from Port Talbot upstream to Cymmer. The Passport describes a conservation minded committee that has helped the river recover from the industrial and coal era, to the point that the salmon population is ever increasing.
