About Seiont, Gwyrfai and Llyfni Fishing Society, Llyn y Dywarchen
Giraldus wrote of Llyn y Dywarchen in AD 1188. It is the society’s stocked water, with quality fishing for rainbow trout reared at its own hatchery on the River Seiont at Llanrug. The fish range from 1.8lb to 5lb. It is fly fishing only, and the Passport calls boat fishing here a delight. There is an island in the middle of the lake.
The Passport lists a full day ticket and a weekly ticket for trout, with a maximum of 10 tickets a day. A ticket for this section also lets you fish any of the Seiont, Gwyrfai and Llyfni Fishing Society beats on the Passport; maps for all are provided on booking. Prawn fishing is prohibited and dogs are not allowed. It is booked through the Fishing Passport.
