About the River Ewenny

The River Ewenny, Afon Ewenni in Welsh, is a tributary of the Ogmore of about 16 kilometres, or 10 miles. It comes from a network of springs and small streams on the high ground north of Pencoed. The two main arms, the Ewenny Fawr and the Ewenny Fach, meet to the north east of Bridgend, and the river then runs through a pastoral valley, along the eastern edge of Bridgend and on by Ewenny, to join the Ogmore close to the tidal limit.
