About River Elwy, Bron Heulog
This is a double bank beat on the River Elwy downstream of Llanfair Talhaiarn, which Rhyl and St Asaph Angling Association leases on both banks, about 2,500m. The association says fish can be here earlier than you might think, and that it fishes best with some water on. A series of small weir pools runs through the beat.
Booking is not required, and day tickets are not available on this beat, so it is fished by members. The Elwy is partly a spate river, rising and clearing quickly. The association publishes grid references for both banks and the position shown is approximate.
