About the River Elwy

The River Elwy, Afon Elwy in Welsh, is a river in north east Wales and a tributary of the River Clwyd. The source is sometimes given as the northern flank of Moel Seisiog, south east of Llanrwst, but the river only takes the name Elwy at the village of Llangernyw, where the Afon Cledwen, Afon Collen and Afon Gallen meet.
