About River Clun, Clungunford
The River Clun at Clungunford is a wild trout and grayling river in south Shropshire. It rises near Anchor close to the Welsh border and joins the Teme near Leintwardine. The club does not stock it, because it carries a good head of wild brown trout and grayling.
The club describes the river as remote and wild, with the hazards that go with that. Each year it takes new members to the river to get to know it. Fishing is fly only, with barbless or de-barbed hooks, and every fish is returned with the minimum of handling. The water is for members of Salopian Fly Fishers Association.
