About the River Clun

The River Clun is a wild trout and grayling river in south Shropshire. It rises near the hamlet of Anchor, close to the Welsh border, and flows east through the small town of Clun. Below Aston on Clun it turns roughly south, passing Clunbury and Clungunford, and it crosses into Herefordshire to join the River Teme at Leintwardine. The whole valley lies within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and it is very rural.
