About the River Afon Goedol

The Afon Goedol is a small river in Gwynedd. Water from Moelwyn Mawr drains into Llyn Ystradau, whose outflow is the source of the Goedol. The River Bowydd joins it, and at Rhyd-y-Sarn it meets the Afon Teigl, after which the river is known as the Dwyryd. A local angling association lists the Afon Goedol among four rivers it fishes for salmon and sea trout.

Beats on the Afon Goedol list sea trout, salmon. The mix varies from beat to beat, so check the species on the page for the water you want to fish.
05Do I need a licence to fish the Afon Goedol?
