About River Towy, Abermarlais
The Abermarlais waters at Llangadog run on both banks from the road bridge up to the railway bridge, some two miles upriver, except the first field on the right looking upstream from the road bridge. Cross Hands and District Angling Association says it has well known runs and holding pools for salmon and sewin, with parts suitable along its length for worm, spinner and fly. It is especially noted for sewin fly fishing, and the club says the stretch becomes fishable remarkably quickly after a flood.
Day and week tickets are sold online in the club’s ticket shop at £20 and £50 for an adult, and cover any of the club’s waters. The club publishes a map of this beat but gives no limits in words, so the position shown is approximate.
