About River Tees, Tees North, Meeting of the Waters

This is Tees North, Darlington Fly Fishers Club’s beat on the Durham bank of the River Tees, centred on the Meeting of the Waters where the River Greta joins the Tees below Barnard Castle. The pool below the confluence is known as The Bay of Plenty. The river here is wide and deep, and the club regards it as one of its premier locations. The upstream section is easier wading and downstream is more challenging. The club suggests a longer rod on the wider stretches and a wading staff because of the rocky river bed.
