About River Conwy, Llanrwst

Llanrwst Anglers Club’s water on the River Conwy is the prime lower section of the river, just above the upstream tidal limit, so sea trout can push into the club’s water on most tides. The town waters are double bank fishing from Gowers bridge, at the bottom of the beat, for about two miles to the upstream limit, with good holding pools for salmon and for sea trout at night. The runs, glides and pool tails suit a double handed fly rod when the river is above 1.0m on the Cwm Llanerch gauge, and the deeper pools suit spinning and bait where they are permitted.
