About Seiont, Gwyrfai and Llyfni Fishing Society, Llyn Garnage to Sea

The Seiont runs from the outflow of Llyn Padarn near Llanberis to the Menai Strait at Caernarfon, where its mouth forms a natural harbour. Between the outflow and Llanrug it is known as the Afon Rhythallt. The Seiont, Gwyrfai and Llyfni Fishing Society holds the whole river and calls it the largest of its three rivers and an excellent autumn salmon river, with sea trout widespread from late May. Its website says spinning and worm fishing are popular in high water, that spinning is prohibited when the level falls to the red mark on the gauges below the bridges, and that the Seiont is a very good fly river.
