About the Upper Clydach River
The Upper Clydach River, Afon Clydach Uchaf in Welsh, is a small tributary of the River Tawe. It rises to the south of Cwmgors and runs down through Cwmdu Glen to join the Tawe at Pontardawe.
It is the smaller of the two Clydach rivers that run into the Tawe. The other is the Lower Clydach River, which joins the Tawe further downstream near Clydach, and the two are quite separate streams.
