About Doldowlod

Doldowlod is about two miles of double bank on the main Wye, just upstream of Newbridge-on-Wye. It is a secluded, peaceful stretch, especially known for grayling, with the best prospects from the end of August to November. The river is 20 to 30 yards wide with a good variety of water, and in recent years numerous grayling over 2lb have been caught.
