About Dolgau

Dolgau is a mile of the upper Wye, single bank above the bridge and double bank below it, about two miles south of Rhayader and ten miles north of Builth Wells. It has several classic salmon pools, the best of the salmon fishing tending to come later in the season, and the Passport says this part of the river is especially known for grayling and is a good bet for a fish of 50cm or more in late summer and early autumn.
