About Upper Clochfaen

Upper Clochfaen extends upstream from Llangurig Bridge for over two miles, with a mixture of double and single bank. Wild brown trout are the main species, and increasing numbers of grayling have been appearing in catch returns in recent years. The Passport says this part of the river is noted more for the high average size of its fish than for the numbers.
